1. Bugis Night Market (Bugis Street)

When compared to the 1990s, the market in the present time is said to be all commercialized and selling newer and more modern products. If you have a knack for Mughlai cuisines and Halal products, head over to Geylang Serai during the month of Ramadan. Try reaching a bit early as the market tends to get crowded as night falls.

8. Night Vegetable Market

This unique open-air vegetable night market in Singapore has only newly opened, but gained great popularity for itself over the past few years because of its unique ‘industrial estate by day, vegetable market by night’ concept. Truckloads of fresh produce come here every day from Malaysia, and hawkers start to arrive at around 10:00 PM to unload and sort out the goods. From chilis to lotus stem and cabbages, you will find a huge variety of vegetables being sold here at really low prices. However, since the market is frequented by restaurant owners and hawkers, goods are sold only in bulk, and only some hawkers would be willing to sell their produce to a homeowner in a small quantity.
